Andy left a career in Respiratory Medicine to join the staff of St Helen’s Bishopsgate working with Dick Lucas. He went on to be Assistant Pastor at Spicer Street Church in St Albans, and then was for 12 years Senior Pastor of Beeston Evangelical Free Church in Nottingham.  He took up his current role with the Cornhill staff as Co-director of the Cornhill Training Course (Scotland) in 2011.

Kirk - Aussie on ice

It’s now Wednesday but the memories of the weekend are still fresh in my mind. We had snow, deep snow, white snow, I’ve been wanting to get a picture of the castle in the snow since I first got involved in @ The Castle and many of you gave me pictures of the castle in the snow, so thank you. We also had great times together chatting, worshipping through song and taking time to enjoy the beauty of nature. Best of all we had great teaching from Kirk Patston on the book of Ecclesiastes.

New @thecastle site

Just a quick post to mark the launch of the new look @THECASTLE website. The content is mostly the same but you should see the site being updated more often and we’ll also be adding the weekend audio to an iTunes podcast for your convenience.

If you have any ideas of what you think should be on this site then please leave a comment below. Please let us know if any content is broken.

We appreciate your help in this matter as this will speed up the registration process.

P & F group

P&F Groups are informal small groups that pray and share together. It’s a great opportunity to get to know people better and discuss some of the Bible talks.

The groups meet at various times over the weekend. You will be informed when and where during the meeting times.

Whilst we will do our best to accommodate folk so that they’re not in a room full of strangers, it should be noted that not everyone will be able to be placed as they wish.

Married couples – we’ll do our best to provide you a room with a double bed, but these rooms are limited, so guys be prepared that after all these years you might be enjoying a night with the lads again! And ladies…well, there is the Kleenex Extra Soft after all…

• Sleeping bag or two bed sheets
• Pillow case
• Toiletries
• Money for books
• Bible and notebook
• A nice BIG towel (take note all you hotel frequenters!)

Travelling to Castlewellan is best by car. You can journey down keeping to main roads all the way from any of the following surrounding towns Banbridge, Ballynahinch, Downpatrick and Newcastle.
